[Anime] Real Life Rurouni Kenshin Sakabato Found in Japan

Turns out that the famous reverse bladed sword (literally sakabato) that was used by Himura Kenshin in the series is actually a real thing. Kenshin used this type of sword so that he could still fight and defend, but not kill his enemies with a lethal blow.

Up until now it was considered just something that was made up by manga artist, Nobuhiro Watsuki, and with no basis in the real world at all.

Anime News

While anime fans love animes so much, it can't be helped that they want to see live-action versions of their favorite animes---as long as they are made by a Japanese production crew. One example would be Rurouni Kenshin, where the first live-action film was such a big hit because it was done really well and stayed true to the concept of the original series. Two more live action films of Rurouni Kenshin will be shown this year, but I'll talk about that in my next blog post. :)

For now, I am very excited to find out that SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN (ATTACK ON TITAN) will be getting a live-action film that will premiere in 2015, according to the official website. The live-action film will be directed by 48-year-old Shinji Higuchi and will be based on the anime and manga series created by Hajime Isayama.

1/25/14: Maverick Flare

The picture is more than fitting considering Vile is more or less the Mega Man X version of Boba Fett, right down to the attitude and armor. Oh, and it's been sunny around here too when it really shouldn't be.

This last week has been... strange. I don't know how else to put it. It practically didn't even happen at all, considering I was only at school for a day, yet it still felt like a long week. On top of that, like I just said, it's been nice nearly every day, which is out of character for the season. That's not to say we haven't had nice winters, because we have, but I don't remember the last time we had a winter where the sun persisted for so long. It's still as cold as ever, but even that isn't likely to last long. Spring will be here early, that's for sure.

The Kawaii Marble Wonderland Experience (Pic Heavy Post)

First of all, thank you to Cosplay Network Philippines for inviting me to this wonderful event. I really enjoyed my time there! (*^ ^*)

Marble Wonderland started fashionably late at around 7 PM. When I arrived at Movie Stars Cafe, there was already a long line near the entrance. Good thing there was a separate pass for bloggers to enter. And luckily, there are already seats assigned for bloggers near the stage. (((o(**)o)))
